Thanks for your service, Veterans.November 11, 2008
This is a blog shout-out to any and all people who have served in the armed forces. Today we honor those who served and let us stay as a free nation.
I wonder, are there other nations who set aside a day as a national honor for veterans?
We’ve been extremely busy around here with school, and not able to blog regularly.
Thanks, veterans, for your service to our nation (and to all nations for that matter.)
Everyone reading this should make a pledge to help disabled and homeless veterans in whatever capacity is possible. ONE homeless veteran is a disgrace to the nation (um, let me clarify, I mean allowing ONE veteran to be homeless is a national disgrace. That’s what I meant but I figured I’d clarify)
When a veterans group comes by asking for donations, please take a moment, (those of us who have not served) and think of what those homeless and disabled veterans have done for us, when they were more able-bodied or not homeless. Do they really deserve to be homeless, after risking their lives for our countries? I’m not only speaking of my own nation, the United States. Any homeless veteran ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD is a problem.
With that, I’m off to wait for my dad to pick me up. I had a car accident recently…..hence I cannot drive at the moment. No injuries except my car is totalled…….poor Mrs. Black……someone else named it……..he’ll be sad when I have to tell him she is no more.
