trying this blogging thing again.

January 20, 2008

Well………I’ve started another blog……….tried one before and got some good stuff out but………then the system here had stamina issues and we couldn’t go back to that………a lot has changed about us since we put out those entries before……….I (The Integral) am going to try and import that other blog into here at some point………

For readers who do not know……….(that will probably be most or all of you) we are a plural autistic system of three……….

Athena, Ivan, and The Integral (me…….and that’s where the “Idx” part of the blog name comes from. Unfortunately there isn’t a symbol for an integral that I’ve found on the keyboard or in extra symbols……..hence the I must suffice for now. I might try to look for one later….

We’ve all been in varying stages of anxiety/overload lately………..Ivan is actually off for this week………..he’s been off since Monday. The freaking crimson tide ran him out……….but he will be back with a vengeance next week sometime………….

The Integral

  1. It took me a while to understand who Athena, Ivan, and the Integral were. Now this old post makes it clear. So do I understand correctly that your family is (or was) unaware of your plurality? That must be difficult. I felt sad with you as you wrote about having to hide. Is there a post somewhere here that describes the three of you and how you collaborate in more depth? I wish to understand more, if you do not mind and you are comfortable sharing.

  2. Yes, you are correct that the family is unaware of our plurality. Yes it’s sad at times that we have to hide stuff like that…fortunately we do have a few friends that know about us, and who talk to all three of us (at different times of course) so when we need to chat to people who are familiar, we can call them up. Unfortunately we have not yet written a post that describes our collaborative relationship in detail, though one has been in the works for a while now. Sometimes we’ll start writing something and leave it for a long time, either because of exposure anxiety or forgetting or being overwhelmed with other crap.

We don’t mind sharing here…..that’s partly what this blog is for.

Thanks for your interest…..it helps us to write, believe it or not. Even though we’re doing this primarily to get stuff out of our head and into coherent passages, others being interested is encouraging.

  3. Wow, it’s very interesting to go back and see what we’ve written in the past.

This reminds me, I need to think about writing something on our relationship. I use the word “need” in this case because I “want” to do it, and I’ve been meaning to for a while, but life got in the way.
